Dubai: Shopping

  • 17/11/2020

Dubai is renowned as the 'Middle East's Shopping Capital.' There is no better destination to find things at incredible pricing than Dubai, which has over a hundred malls, shopping complexes, and souks. Automobiles, clothing and couture, jewelry, electronics, furnishings, sporting equipment, cinema theaters, and a variety of restaurants, cafes, and diners are all likely to be located under one roof.

The annual 'The Dubai Shopping Festival' (DSF) has been held in Dubai since 1996. The DFRE organizes this month-long festival, during which retail places provide significant discounts and arrange daily raffles with things like as gold and technology up for grabs. There are also other fireworks displays throughout the city, as well as a variety of activities and live entertainment.

The Dubai Mall: The world's largest retail mall, the Dubai Mall, is located in Dubai. This mall, which is located next to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and the most popular hotels in Dubai, breaks every record in the world, with the world's largest candy store, 'Cantillations,' the world's largest choreographed fountain show, the world's largest indoor aquarium, and an indoor underwater zoo. It also has an indoor ice rink, an indoor theme park called 'Sega Republic,' the famed 'KidZania,' a haunted house, a cinema, and over 1,200 shops and retail outlets, as well as 150 cafes and restaurants.

The Mall of The Emirates: This mall is a massive retail mall surrounded by opulent hotels. It is the world's first shopping resort and one of the city's largest. The Mall of the Emirates boasts more than 630 high-end retailers, the city's largest Carrefour, and its own 'Fashion Dome,' which contains key global designer brands. Apart from the restaurants and two food courts, it contains well-known apparel stores, booksellers, banks, and beauty lounges. Regular exhibitions by the world's best fashion designers are also presented at the fashion dome. Ski-Dubai is a popular attraction because it is the world's largest indoor themed ski resort. Inside Ski Dubai, there's a café that serves its famed hot chocolate, and nothing beats a hot chocolate in the cold.

Dubai Marina Mall: This beachfront shopping and dining destination, which is popular with locals and visitors for its big-name shops and boat rides, has everything from Adidas and Aldo to Tommy Hilfiger and Vince Camuto.

Global Village:Global Village is the region's first family-friendly destination for culture, entertainment, and shopping. It is a one-of-a-kind and integrated destination where guests can enjoy the finest shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences in the world, as well as the region's largest and most diverse choice of events, performances, and activities. It provides millions of visitors with a variety of entertaining surprises in the open air. It hosts a colorful festival that showcases the finest of international culture and takes visitors on a journey through a series of pavilions, each representing the richness and culture of a different country. It offers a wide choice of amusing games and informative tours, as well as unique international food and awe-inspiring entertainment experiences.

Midriff City Center: MCC is a newer addition to the lot. This new mall, which is located in the upscale Midriff neighborhood, has already gained popularity among locals for housing some of the most renowned and cheap brands. The mall provides everything for every budget, and when the mall has sales, the entire city of Dubai comes to shop. It also features infant changing rooms, and the entire mall is environmentally friendly. MCC has a variety of entertainment options, including IFly, an indoor skydiving facility, Sky Trail and Climbing Wall, Little Explorers, Soccer Circus Dubai, Aqua Play, Vox Cinemas, and Magic Planet.

Dubai Festival City: Despite having the majority of the world's most well-known companies, DFC is nonetheless very calm. It has the world's largest Aldo store, one of the region's largest IKEA stores, an exclusive Ferrari store, a bowling alley, the famous New York eatery Serendipity, the country's only Mint Velvet store, and the country's only Hard Rock Café. The best aspect about DFC is that it confronts the historic creek, in addition to all of the retail brands and restaurants. During the milder months, a daily mini-fair is hosted in front of the stream with a variety of activities and small food, accessory, and souvenir vendors.

Dubai outlet mall: Unlike others, this mall is located on the outskirts of Dubai, rather than in the city. This could explain why it isn't as crowded. However, because of the different sales it offers, this hidden gem is one of the residents' favorites. The 'Outlet' themed mall offers Warehouse/ Factory sales year-round, with discounts ranging from 40% to 90%. Sale season is a big event at this mall, and you'll see people from all over the city rushing there to take advantage of incredible discounts on all of the major fashion brands, perfume brands, sports brands, and more. It has the largest Chuck-E-Cheese in Dubai, as well as over 240 retailers, several cafes, and a play area.

Burjuman: Because the Burj Dubai is virtually the center of Dubai, it's only natural that this mall be built here. When it comes to convenience, the metro, bus, and, of course, taxis are all readily available. Both the red and green metro lines connect it. Burjuman, one of Dubai's most prestigious shopping malls, has just undergone a facelift and now offers more brands than ever before. It is great for those with a healthy appetite, as it has nearly two levels dedicated to restaurants and cafes. It is home to the only Saks Fifth Avenue store in the UAE.

Gold Souk: With nearly millions of tourists pouring to the small lanes of this ever-enchanting souk, it is possibly the most popular souk in Dubai. Necklaces, bangles, earrings, and brooches in 22 and 24 carat gold can be found here. Here you may see the world's largest certified gold ring. The styles on display range from modern to classic, flamboyant to conservative, sturdy to delicate; all one has to do is look at them all to pick which is the best. Though the souk is a great spot to go window shopping, if you know how to negotiate, the gold souk may be your favorite. It is easily accessible from metros, cabs, and buses and is located near the Dubai Creek.

Ibn Battuta Mall: This is the world's largest themed mall, with its entire idea based on Ibn Battuta's travels. The mall honors his accomplishments and discoveries by having multiple courts in various sections that represent the places he visited, such as China, Persia, Egypt, Tunisia, and India. Because the mall only has one floor, this may be the only mall where you can visit every single store. Throughout the mall, there are numerous cafes and restaurants, some of which are located outside and offer spectacular views. It is home to the country's only IMAX theater as well as the majority of the country's most affordable yet popular brands.

Deira City Center: If Burjuman is one of the emirate's finest malls, DCC, as we call it, is the city's first proper retail mall, making it a locals' preferred shopping destination in Dubai. It's in Deira, one of Dubai's most prestigious and historic neighborhoods. DCC is still busy on weekends, and it is undoubtedly one of the busiest malls in the city. It is home to various brands, including Sharaf DG, as well as the VOX movie theater, Magic Planet, and a bowling alley.
